Greetings! If anyone is following this blog—well, you’ll have noticed there isn’t often anything to follow!

The issue has primarily been that I can’t make the blog do what I want it to. Comments seem to automatically close on certain posts, it doesn’t like my browser very much, and so on.

Having given this some thought, I’ve concluded that—at least for now, possibly permanently—I’m moving any semblance of activity to www.PbPHouse.com, a great online roleplaying community with a portal system that more than compensates for the features of a blog.

For one thing, it includes a blog.

However, my move is also fueled by the realization that what I want more than a blog is a forum, which I’ll have at PbPHouse—a place to discuss ideas, rather than just say them, since comments don’t always work here.

Maybe at some point I’ll get this blog working, and have a blog here and a forum there, but for now—look for me there as GarrettPLC. Come game with us! Have fun! Talk about gaming, maybe help berate me until I get into a serious playtest of one of my games, in which you could actually have a lot of input!

The direct link to my Larcenous Designs developments forum is:

http://pbphouse.com/portal/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=84&board=85.0

And you can find my blog there by looking through the portal member profiles for mine.

Keep flyin’.

Blessed be,

~Nathan Rockwood, hopeful that Larcenous Designs will actually publish something soon….

Ok, here’s where it gets good….

Elemental is a system that I’ve been working on for the past four months (not counting the bits and pieces that were my precursors to it, as elaborated in my previous post), in collaboration with several friends who have been helping playtest and revise it. At this point, it’s working fairly well for the playtest game, which has gone through ~5 full sessions. The game is diceless in the literal sense, but is not without a random factor; however, Elemental is definitely more ‘qualitative,’ or description-and-roleplaying-based, than it is ‘quantitative,’ or crunchy/rules-heavy. Read on for the basics behind the system’s current design.

Greetings, all—This is Nathan Rockwood, signing on to my first real blog post. Currently, this blog will be for speculation and discussion of some ideas of mine as regards the games I’m working on (my games, not those of other people whom I happen to be working for—Jamie, et al, worry not—no MWP trade secrets shall be released here!) To those who are interested, I’ll be happy to discuss public or already published things I’ve worked on with the Serenity and Battlestar Galactica roleplaying games.

Blessed be,
